Summer Reading Programs
The time for Summer Reading Programs is here! We have one for kids, one for teens and one for adults, and all of them start on Monday, June 27.
Readopoly Summer Reading Game
Each summer we invite children ages three years to those entering grade six to enjoy Readoply, our TD Summer Reading Club board game. This year we are on a wild roller coaster reading ride. All you have to do is have fun reading and then tell us about it. You can play in English or in French. When you complete four turns on the board, you get a free book to keep! To join Readopoly, sign up at a Children's Service desk anytime the library is open. You can join anytime during the summer.
Wild Reads: Teen Summer Reading Bingo
Teens are invited to take part in 'Wild Reads', the Library’s teen summer reading bingo. Read books from the different categories on the 'Wild Reads' bingo card, then tell us about your choice and get your card stamped. For each stamp received, you will receive a ballot to fill out for a chance to win a grand prize. Once you have completed four squares in a row, bring your bingo card in to the Library and pick up a free book. Pick up a bingo card at any Public Service Desk, and turn your summer reading into prizes! For teens entering grades 7-12 in the fall.
Go Wild With Adult Summer Reading!
Step out of your comfort zone and take a walk on the wild side! Pick up a WILD Bookmark at one of the Public Service desks, and get a stamp for each book you read. Fill out a quick book review to be entered to win prizes. We'll have two monthly draws and a grand prize draw at the end of the summer for a Kobo Arc tablet! Try a book in a different format, like an eBook or audiobook, to get your Wild Card spot on your bookmark stamped and get a bonus entry for the grand prize!
