Paws 4 Stories
February 2, 9, 16, 23 at 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. (Painswick)
In partnership with St. John's Ambulance, participants are paired up with a therapy dog that they read to. Reading in a non-judgmental environment is shown to improve reading skills, self-esteem and social skills. True Colors for Teens Workshop
January 30, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (Downtown Branch)
Are you a green, an orange...maybe a bit of a blue and gold too? Find out such things as which career is best suited to for you, how to bridge the gaps in communication with your parents, teachers and friends, plus ways to open the doors to successful relationships and learning. Ages 13-19. Register for True Colors.

Circle of Readers
Wednesdays, January 18 - February 22 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. (Downtown Branch)
Aimed at building the reading skills of children in Grades 2 - 5. Kids read with a volunteer for the first part of the hour, followed by a group activity and then a reading circle. Register for Circle of Readers.
Baby Sign Language
February 7, 14, 21, 28 from 11 - 11:30 a.m. (Painswick Branch)
For chidlren aged 9 months to 2 years old. Learn signs from American Sign Language through song and play to encourage early communication strategies, alleviate frustration, and have fun! Offered in partnership with Deaf Access Simcoe Muskoka. Register for Baby Sign Language.
