How To In 10 Festival coming up!

Our How To In 10 Festival is fast approaching. Each branch will feature local individuals, organizations and businesses demonstrating new skills you can learn in under 10 minutes. Get 5 stamps on your event passport from learning 5 new skills and be entered to win great door prizes! 

Downtown Branch - Saturday, November 19, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Presenters at our Downtown Branch will show you how-to:

  • Go from Zany to Zen in 10 (Flourish Vitality Yoga)
  • Create a fun upcycled craft (Art in House)
  • Sew a button (Spool Lounge)
  • Make your home fire-safe (Barrie Fire Department)
  • Check your tire pressure (Georgian College)
  • Prepare a home emergency kit (St. John Ambulance)
  • Knit & crochet (Marion Bowler)
  • Refinish/upcycle furniture (Castle & Park)
  • Tie various knots (Scouts Canada - Simcoe Phoenix)
  • Read a compass and use proper trail etiquette (Ganaraska Hiking Trail - Barrie Club)
  • Communicate with basic signs in American Sign Language (Deaf Access Simcoe Muskoka)
  • Take great photos with your smartphone (Sean George)

Painswick Branch - Saturday, November 26, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Presenters at our Painswick Branch will show you how-to:

  • Read nutrition labels and make your holiday meals healthier (Zehrs Markets)
