Evergreen Award Adult Reading Bingo
Looking for summer reads? Take part in Reading Bingo for Adults; which runs July 2nd - September 30th. This is your chance to read more widely from Canadian fiction and non-fiction and to have fun doing it! How does reading bingo work? Read current or past Evergreen nominated books to fill in your bingo squares, you can find a list here. Staff are happy to assist with suggestions for reads that fit the various criteria/bingo squares if desired. Submit a review for each book you read and complete a line on your bingo card to enter our draw to win a free Kobo Arc*. You must be 18 years or older and a member of the Barrie Public Library to participate. Print your bingo card and book review forms online from the event or see library staff to collect them.

Thursday, July 17, 2014 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm join us to Skype with Janet E. Cameron author of Cinnamon Toast and the End of the World. Adults and teens alike can relate to Janet E. Cameron's book, join with a friend, parent or partner and share in the discussion and craft. We will be making felt Cinnamon Toast Coasters and enjoying homemade cinnamon buns. First introduced in 2005, the Evergreen Reading Award™ is part of the Ontario Library Association’s popular Forest of Reading™ award program giving adult readers the opportunity to vote for their favourite title from a list of nominated works of Canadian fiction and non-fiction. Voting takes place in October with the winner being announced in early November.
