These databases allow you to do research in magazine and newspaper articles covering a wide range of subjects. You can find the fulltext for many major Canadian newspapers, and current and back issues of over 1,000 magazines.

Many of our databases are available through the library's web site 24/7, whether from the library, home, school or work.

TechBoomers

TechBoomers.com is a free educational website that teaches people how to use popular websites and mobile apps. The website has free courses on many different types of websites and apps covering Social, Entertainment, Online Shopping, Education, and more. A few of the most popular courses include Facebook, Netflix, Ancestry, and Internet Safety.

Tumblebook Library

A collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) and TumblePuzzles. TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books which have been licensed from children's book publishers and converted to the TumbleBook format. French and other language titles are available.

An online collection of ebooks with audio read-along including chapter books, early readers, YA/Teen novels, for both middle and high schools students, plus classics of American and English literature. Features all audiobook titles formerly held on AudioBookCloud. Powered by TumbleBooks.

TumbleBookCloud Junior includes ebooks and audiobooks, for kids grades 3-6, including early reader chapter books, children's classics, graphic novels, children's audio book, and National Geographic videos. Powered by TumbleBooks.

Universal Class

Universal Class is a set of online courses covering a wide range of topics. Courses are studied at your own pace and there are instructors available to answer questions and monitor your progress. Up to 5 courses can be studied at a time.

The first time you use Universal Class you must create an account in order to have your progress saved. After this you can click the 'Sign In' button in the top right of the screen (see screenshot below).

Universal Class is accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
